Val Buschau
Director, Corporate Services
In her new role as
Director, Corporate Services, Val is responsible for a number of
corporate priorities including contingency planning, HSC’s Hospital
Incident Command System, policies, insurance, and management of
various corporate accounts. Throughout her 23 years at HSC, Val has
served in a number of leadership positions including Senior Director
of Patient Support Services, Divisional Director of Facility
Management and, most recently, Divisional Director of Hospital
Business Operations. She has also been active within the healthcare
community, having served as provincial chairperson of the Canadian
College of Health Service Executives and on the national CCHSE
Board. In recognition of her accomplishments, Val was honoured with
a YMCA/YWCA Woman of Distinction Award and a CCHSE Leadership Award
in 2002.
