VISION
STATEMENT
The Health Sciences Centre is an integral part of
the COMMUNITY we serve.
Our STRENGTH and unique character will
continue to derive from the capacity and dedication to blend
excellence in clinical care with our role in research and education.
Our CHALLENGE is to become increasingly
focused and responsive to the community we serve.
Our PRIORITIES are to continuously improve
service delivery, nurture programs that achieve healthy outcomes,
and enable practices of health promotion and prevention.
We will FOCUS the Centre’s role as an
academic health sciences centre and rationalize our services within
the Winnipeg Hospital Authority and the larger Provincial system to
ensure best value for the available funds.
The Centre foresees a future where it will better
fulfill its already extensive partnerships within the community,
particularly in the core area of Winnipeg and in
Northern Manitoba.
The Centre will attain its organizational
objective of a programmatic structure better able to deliver
multidisciplinary care centered on the patient and family.
Our VISION is to focus on achieving
excellence in patient care, education and research by working
effectively across disciplines and fostering innovative partnerships
with urban and rural regional health authorities and with other
providers, organizations and our community.
