Hematology Laboratory provides hematological and coagulation tests on a routine and urgent basis to the patients of the Health Sciences Centre and serves as a referral center for other urban and rural health care facilities and clinics. Assists in bone marrow aspirate and biopsy collection and processes, examines, and interprets bone marrow aspirates and biopsies. Also provided are gene rearrangement studies and other
genetic-based testing for hematopathologic malignancies and bleeding disorders.
Haemostasis Laboratory provides special diagnostic services for bleeding disorders, hypercoaguable states, specialized anticoagulant therapy, and platelet function studies to the patients of the Health Sciences Centre and serves as a referral center for other urban and rural health care facilities and clinics.
Blood Bank and Transfusion Services are provided on a stat and routine basis 24 hours per day to the patients of the Health Sciences Centre.
