at 0830 hours and end at 2030 hours in all areas, unless
otherwise indicated by nursing unit.

Casual parking is available in the

Weekly parking passes are available for
the William Ave. and Emily St. parkades.
Limited parking spaces
are also available below the Children’s Hospital at 820 Sherbrook
Street, and below the Rehabilitation Respiratory Hospital (entrance
located north of McDermot Ave. on Olivia St.).

Spiritual Care Services
Spiritual care is available for patients, family and
staff, through Spiritual Care. A variety of services are provided and
the schedule is posted by the Sanctuary (GH205). Meditation space is
also available on the 2nd floor of the Rehab Hospital. Spiritual Care
Specialists are available in the Centre Monday to Friday, 0830-10:00
p.m. and are available on-call 24h for emergencies.

Cellular
Phone Policy
When you come to the Health Sciences Centre - whether as
a patient or visitor - we will ask you to turn off any cellular phone or
radio as soon as you come in the door. When they are turned on, cell
phones and radios can sometimes interfere with the settings or operation
of electronic medical devices which are vital to the care of our patients.

radio!

French Language
Policy
The Children’s Hospital of the Health Sciences Centre
strives to offer health care services in both official languages. Due to a
shortage of French-speaking health care professions the implementation of
this language policy will be a gradual process. Signs indicating
availability of services in both official languages will be on display
whenever bilingual personnel are available.

unisex salon, located on the 2nd floor of the MS Building, offers quality
hair services including styling, perms, and colours, as well as manicures,

The Print Shop offers a

Ticket
Office
The HSC Ticket Office is
an on-site Select-A-Seat and Ticketmaster outlet for the convenience of
staff, students, volunteers, and visitors to the HSC, the Medical School,
or the Cancer Foundation. Tickets can be purchased for sporting, concerts
or special events at the Winnipeg Arena, Winnipeg Stadium, Global Park,
Centennial Concert Hall, Walker Theatre, as well as the Imax Theatre and
Rainbow Stage. Winnipeg Transit passes and tickets also available.

HealthTrials
HealthTrials is an office within the Department of Research at the Health Sciences Centre. HealthTrials provides project administration services to both researchers and pharmaceutical companies in an effort to enhance clinical research conducted at the Health Sciences Centre. HealthTrials prepares and submits clinical research submissions to the University of Manitoba Biomedical Research Ethics Board. Representative Office
The Patient Representative Office
assists patients and families with concerns regarding hospital care.
Patient representatives are available to answer questions about the
hospital, help with problems that may occur during a hospital stay, and
listen to suggestions. Contact the Patient Representative Office at 787-2704.
Hours are 0830-1630h, Monday to Friday.

Volunteer
Services
Volunteer
provide patient escorts, visiting, reading material, and family support.
Other services are available upon request. Patients, families, or
departments may request service.
