Description:
Physiotherapists are integral members of the multidisciplinary team who assess and treat people with a variety of acute and chronic health concerns. They use physical means to restore or re-educate movement and function. Physiotherapists are committed healthcare professionals who participate in life-long learning and continuing education, research and clinical studies and are active in the education of students, staff and the community.

Physiotherapy Services at the CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL Room CH-210, 840 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1S1
Physiotherapy provides services to children with dysfunction in the following areas: musculoskeletal, neurodevelopmental and cardiorespiratory. Specialty programs have been developed for in-patients and outpatients with cystic fibrosis, burns, hemophilia, brain injuries, postural disorders and rheumatological and oncological conditions. When indicated, outpatient physiotherapy follow-up will be arranged either at Children's Hospital or through community/rural resources.

Physiotherapy Services at the REHABILITATION HOSPITAL Room RR-132, 800 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1M4
Physiotherapy provides in and outpatient services to the Rehabilitation Medicine Programs: neurological conditions, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and arthritis. Day Hospital services are available to individuals with amputations, spinal cord injuries or arthritic conditions. Out-patient services are available for musculoskeletal problems including bone, joint, muscle or mobility issues and balance/dizziness disorders of the inner ear.

Physiotherapy Services at the GENERAL HOSPITAL Room GG-549, 820 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1R9
Physiotherapy provides primarily in-patient services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to all clinical programs at the Centre. Full service is provided between 08:00-16:15 Monday to Friday and reduced service from 16:15-21:15 Monday to Friday and 08:00-16:15 on weekends and statutory holidays. On-call service is available at all other times. Specialty service areas include cardiorespiratory, trauma, neurosurgery, orthopedics, burns, medicine and hand therapy.
