The Rehabilitation
Engineering department, located in Winnipeg's Health Sciences Centre,
assists clients to gain the highest possible level of independence
through
the use of orthotic, electronic, mechanical, and assistive
technology devices. We have two divisions:
1.) The
Orthotic division designs and custom-produces orthotic devices
for both daily living and specialty uses.
2.) Assistive Technologies Products Services provides specialized
electronic and mechanical aids for adults with physical disabilities.
These aids include automotive adaptations, scooter and wheelchair modifications
and seating, communication aids, environment controls, and many other
devices to enhance daily living.
The EMAT
and Orthotic sections have several pictures to illustrate the range
of products and services we offer. Please take a few minutes to browse
our catalogue
pictures and scroll down our list of products.
Note:
The supply of our products and services is limited to Manitoba, Nunavut
and North West Ontario residents. Some restrictions may apply. Please
contact our staff for clarification. |
